Chopta – Tungnath – Chandrashila trek is located in Garhawal Himalayas of Uttarakhand offers majestic views of Himalayas and Meadows. This is an easy trek for beginners, as well as attractive for the photographers and a specific place for devotees, accessible around the year.
Tungnath Temple is the third temple of Panch kedar circuit & highest temple of Lord Shiva in the earth at an altitude of 3600m, whereas Chandrashilla is a summit with the altitude of 4000 mts, from there one can see the spectacular 360 degree view of Himalayan ranges.

1. Tungnath Temple and Chandrashila Peak: Tungnath Temple is one of the highest temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, situated at an altitude of about 3,680 meters. It is the main attraction in Chopta. The trek to Tungnath is scenic and relatively easy. After visiting the temple, continue the trek to Chandrashila Peak, located at 4,000 meters. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges, including Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Chaukhamba peaks.

Morning Pick up from Haridwar, We’ll drive to Chopta. Enroute you can see Devprayag (Where the holy rivers Bhagirathi and Alaknanda meet, merge into one and take the name Ganga, making it a unique Pligrimage), Dhari Devi Temple, Rudraprayag, Omkareshwar Temple (Ukhimath). After Arrival, Check in your hotel and relax, then have dinner.

Omkareshwar Temple Or Omkareshwar Pith is an ancient Hindu temple in Ukhimath, in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. Moreover, its home to Kedarnath and Madhmaheshwar deities during peak winters. Hence, during the season of heavy snowfall both of these deities are worshipped here in Omkareshwar temple. It is elevated to a height of 1300 meters. The magical snow peaks of the Himalayas are seen from Ukhimath town and it has been declared as a Nagar Panchayat in July 2012.

Sari Village has a rich history dating back to the ancient times of the Himalayan kingdom of Kedar. The village is believed to have been inhabited by the Rajput Community, who migrated to the region from Rajasthan. It is also known for its association with the Kedarnath Temple, which is one of the four scared shrines of the Hindu religion.

Day (2) :

Chopta Sari Village - Tungnath (30,kms/1 Hrs. Drive)

Morning After Breakfast, We’ll start the trek from Chopta to Tungnath and Chandrashila. The trek of Tungnath is 5 kms and after Tungnath the trek of Chandrashila is 2 kms above Tungnath. On Arrival, Tungnath you can see the views of Himalayas, including Nanda Devi, Trishul, Kedar Peak, Bandarpunch and Chaukhamba peaks. In evening. Come back to your hotel, relax and enjoy your meal with beautiful Chopta valley mountain views.

Tungnath or famously known as the Tungnath Temple is a sacred temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in the mountain ranges of the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. Perched at an astonishing elevation of 3680 meters above sea level, this temple is the highest Shiva temple in the world.

Chandrashila also Known as the Moon Peak is the peak situated above the Tungnath Temple at an elevation of 4000 meters above sea level. One can view mighty Himalayan peaks from the summit point of Chandrashila peak namely Mt. Nanda Devi, Chaukhambha Parvat, Kedar Dome, Bandarpoonch etc.

Day (3) :

Chopta Sari Village - Haridwar (245,kms/6-7 Hrs. Drive)

Morning after breakfast, downhill drive to Haridwar via Rishikesh. Rishikesh is a Yoga Capital city in the world. Cab will be drop you at your dropping point.

If you wish go to Rishikesh you can go that. Rishikesh Local sightseeing like Ram Jhulla, Janki Jhulla, Parmarth Niketan, Swarg Aashram, Geeta Bhawan.
